Kindle Vildor, Cornerback

Kindle Vildor was the Chicago Bears’ fifth-round pick in 2020. He’s had some flashes of success but has struggled.

Vildor was the starting outside cornerback on the left side. He allowed opposing quarterbacks a 110.1 passer rating. Those quarterbacks also completed 65.8 percent of their passes.

Vildor had trouble breaking up passes and could not stop receivers from gaining yards. He allowed 142 yards after the catch.

The Bears drafted Tyrique Stevenson specifically to replace Vildor on the outside. Additionally, the Bears want to be bigger and more physical. Stevenson, at 6 feet and 214 pounds, fits that description in both his body and the way he plays.

With Stevenson, their likely starters are all 6 feet tall and average 200 pounds.

The Bears also have Jaylon Jones. He was an undrafted rookie who played well at times. He doesn’t seem like an elite player by any means but he could be a good backup.

While some may consider having a lot of experience as a positive, if you have too many bad plays in your experience it might count against you. That is where Vildor finds himself. He has quite a few bad plays in his reel.

With the Bears going bigger and more physical, Vildor might be on the outside looking in.
