An immediate impact is a requirement from players in the NFL. It is an ask that is not always guaranteed. Franchises take precautions to ensure their investments are on solid ground. Draft prospects perform tests, and interviews, and receive grades to evaluate potential long-term success. The process is extensive, but it assists General Managers in making the right decisions.

NFL Sophomore #5 Kenny Pickett  (QB)

Impressive performances under center aided Pittsburgh’s quarterback during his rookie campaign. He gained confidence last season and earned the respect of his peers. Kenny Pickett’s decision-making resulted in wins. His growing pains were par for the course but will not limit his ceiling.

In 2022, Pickett ranked second in offense rating (75.5) among rookie quarterbacks. Connections between Pickett and his targets will help him carry the momentum. Diontae Johnson (69.9) and George Pickens (69.3) led the receiving core in overall receiving grades, and expect the success to continue. They combined for 1,683 of Pickett’s 2,404 yards passing. Matt Canada has a special unit that will go as far as their quarterback leads them this season.
