2023 NFL Season: 10 bold predictions for the new year

No. 4: Russell Wilson throws 26 TDs and 8 INTs in 2023

My first bold prediction was the Denver Broncos winning 10 games and earning a playoff spot.  Well, that won’t happen without Russell Wilson showing that he can play like his old self again.  I do truly believe that he’ll get back to his old ways in 2023.

He won’t throw for a ton of yards or touchdowns, but he’ll put up numbers that are for the most part, on par with his career averages.  He’ll be very efficient, keeping his interceptions below 10, and his better than 3:1 TD:INT ratio coupled with a strong run game is going to propel the Broncos back into relevancy.

No. 5: Josh McDaniels doesn’t make it through the 2023 season

The 2023 NFL season is not going to be kind for Josh McDaniels, who is entering his second year as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.  His first year was a total disaster, and I think the Raiders got a bit worse in 2023.  They dumped Derek Carr for an inferior QB in Jimmy Garoppolo, and I just can’t see this operation working out.

Josh McDaniels simply is not an NFL-caliber head coach, and I don’t think he survives the 2023 NFL season.
