Wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley makes a big final push for a Washington Commanders’ roster spot

The Washington Commanders entered the 2023 preseason with their first four wide receivers set. Terry McLaurin is their ace, with Jahan Dotson as the emerging star at number two. Curtis Samuel is a great slot threat, and Dyami Brown is an explosive number four who can hit some home run plays.

Week two saw Tinsley take a step back in the eyes of some, though. He reeled in two catches for 14 yards in the Commanders’ win over the Baltimore Ravens. However, Tinsley needed five targets to do so and had a crucial drop near the end of the game on a gorgeous pass from Jake Fromm. Washington was able to pull out the win, but that drop still lingered in the minds of some fans.
