Denver Broncos land franchise record four UDFAs on final roster
It feels like the 2023 NFL Draft class has had an abnormal number of late-round picks and undrafted free agents really stepping up for teams in training camp and preseason play. A variety of undrafted free agents made the Minnesota Vikings’ roster. Undrafted receivers like Jason Brownlee of the Jets, Austin Watkins Jr. of the Browns, and Malik Heath of the Packers made tons of headlines throughout the preseason. And the story was no different for the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos had limited NFL Draft capital going into the 2023 NFL Draft thanks to the trades to acquire head coach Sean Payton and quarterback Russell Wilson. Despite having limited NFL Draft capital, the Broncos had an impressive showing from their rookie class throughout the preseason.
