Derek Carr may be gone to the New Orleans Saints, but don’t be shocked if you see no. 4 out there starting at some point for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. The new no. 4 in Las Vegas is rookie Aidan O’Connell, a relatively underwhelming prospect out of Purdue who is limited athletically but who has really stood out over the last two years with his tremendous improvements as a passer.

The Raiders moved up to get him in the 4th round after deciding to let Derek Carr go in the offseason. He went out there and had one of the most impressive preseasons out of any rookie in the league.
