Fantasy Football Defense

#4 Pittsburgh Steelers

Physicality is a byproduct of Pittsburgh Steelers football. It’s ingrained into each player through ninety years of tradition. Stifling defense helped the black and gold earn a respected reputation. They win against all odds and rely on protecting the endzone to add victories to the win column.

Teryl Austin’s defense faired well during rough circumstances in 2022. His group carried the Steelers until Kenny Pickett became comfortable with the offense. Minkah Fitzpatrick and Alex Highsmith anchored the unit while T.J. Watt nursed a pectoral injury. Their opponents were tough, but the defense held its ground. They shut down Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in Week 6 and did just enough to defeat the Dolphins the following week. They lost to the Bengals and Ravens but won their remaining games.

Fantasy Football Defense

#3 Buffalo Bills

In 2022, the Bills ranked 22nd in Pro Football Focus’ defensive ratings (70.5), but they will change the narrative in the upcoming season. We can expect McDermott’s defense to put more pressure on opposing quarterbacks – equating to points for fantasy owners.
