Detroit Lions @ Miami Dolphins, 1:00 PM ET

The Detroit Lions head to Miami to face the Dolphins in Week 9. While the Dolphins have shown some fight this year under first-year head coach Jeff Hafley, there is virtually nothing to like about the roster. The Dolphins are rebuilding and took deliberate steps this past offseason to engage in the beginning stages of a rebuild.

The Lions are in what might turn out to be the most competitive division race the league has seen in quite some time. Detroit also has a top-tier offense and a defense that can at least get to the QB. I am not sure there is any sort of avenue for the Dolphins to win this game.

Sure, Miami can hang around, but Detroit simply has too much firepower and too much at stake to lose this game. The Lions have one of the best offensive performances of the season and beat the Dolphins by 22 points in our Week 9 predictions.

Prediction: Lions win 42-20

Cleveland Browns @ New Orleans Saints, 1:00 PM ET

The New Orleans Saints are coming off the bye and host the Cleveland Browns, who got blown out by Pittsburgh in Week 8. The Browns are a fun story, but the team is flawed. Deshaun Watson has been sacked far too many times, and the offense, while sporting young talent, isn't there yet and may not have their QB of the future in the building.

I actually am riding with the Saints here. New Orleans has the better QB, gets this game at home, and is going to be reasonably well-rested coming off the bye. The NFC South is also still wide open, so the Saints could really do themselves a big favor here with a win.

Prediction: Saints win 24-21
