Denver Broncos @ Carolina Panthers, 1:00 PM ET
The Denver Broncos have won four games in a row and are on top of the AFC West after a huge win over Kansas City. The Carolina Panthers are 3-4, have lost two in a row, but are still on top of the NFC South as Week 9 hits.
The Panthers do have a potent scoring offense, but the offensive line is banged-up, and the defense has not held their own this year. In fact, the Panthers fired now former defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, who spent a year in that role with the Broncos back in 2022.
To be frank, the only way the Panthers will be able to win this game is by winning in a shootout, but the Broncos are bringing a ton of roster advantages in this one. Given that Carolina has a shaky offensive line and Denver has a potent pass rush, this could get ugly.
The Broncos have also beaten a ton of quality opponents this year, the last time the team played a club in the same tier as Carolina, which was Arizona, they blew them out. While the Panthers do have a legitimate shot at winning the division for a second season in a row, and get this game at home, the Broncos are better and are clearly in a Super Bowl window.
Unless Panthers QB Bryce Young is able to produce in the face of a ton of pressure coming his way, the Panthers are going to fall short. We're predicting an eight-point Broncos victory in Week 9, as they keep up their winning streak and improve it to five games heading into the bye.
The Panthers lose their third in a row in our predictions and could suddenly see the division getting a lot more interesting.
