Green Bay Packers @ New England Patriots, 4:25 PM ET

This could be one of the better games of the Week 9 slate, as the Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots square off in a battle of good-not-great 5-3 teams. The Packers and Patriots both won in Week 8 and are honestly stuck in a weird spot.

Being 5-3 does, roughly, put them on pace for 10 wins this year, but at the same time, 5-3 is dangerously close to .500. A small slip by either teams could end up putting their seasons in rough waters.

Both QBs are probably a wash, so this game could come down to coaching and which team shows up in the late stages of the game. Since the Patriots are at home, you naturally want to pick them, but they're not guaranteed to get AJ Brown back this week, and while he has played well as of late, Drake Maye has put the ball in harm's way too many times this year, and an aggressive Jonathan Gannon defense could be looking to take advantage of that.

This game is as 50/50 as you'll see in the NFL, and I would not fault you for picking either team in this one. We're picking the Packers by one point, as Jordan Love has played his tail off this year, and the Packers' defense already has 10 interceptions.

They'll intercept Maye a couple of times and end up making enough plays to notch a close victory in the end. The Patriots would fall to 5-4 in our Week 9 predictions and would continue falling in this regression from last year.

The Packers, with a predicted win, would improve to 6-3 and be very much alive in the NFC North race, the most competitive in the league.

Prediction: Packers win 24-23
