Las Vegas Raiders @ San Francisco 49ers, 4:25 PM ET
The San Francisco 49ers took a pretty ugly loss against the Atlanta Falcons a couple of weeks ago and were on the bye in Week 8, and when a good team like this is coming off the bye, you naturally expect them to play well.
Both sides of the ball have worked for the 49ers this year, and even with their recent loss, the Niners are 6-1 and in a good position to win the NFC West, especially with how shaky Los Angeles and Seattle have looked at times this year.
From top to bottom, the 49ers are a better football team than the Las Vegas Raiders, who shook off a four-game losing streak in Week 8 by beating the Jets. The Raiders are actually rather simple - they're a good offense but a bad defense.
The 49ers should have no issues putting up a ton of points, but the defense may end up surrendering a few scores to a surprising potent Kirk Cousins-led offense. And while a high-scoring game is going to be fun to watch, the expected is going to happen.
San Francisco is well-rested and surely want to get back on the right track. They've had the entire bye week to marinate in their messy first loss, and I cannot imagine a Kyle Shanahan-coached team is going to come out flat.
The 49ers put up 38 points in our predictions and win this one by two touchdowns. The Raiders would drop to 4-5 on the season after a 3-0 start, and the 49ers would improve to 7-1 and maintain their lead atop the NFC Playoff Picture.
If the Raiders did lose this game, you almost wonder if the wheels would start churning in regards to getting rookie QB Fernando Mendoza onto the field...?
