Detroit Lions @ Arizona Cardinals, 4:25 PM ET

Alright, so I want to keep liking the Detroit Lions, and they keep proving me wrong. I can’t say the Lions are a team worth taking seriously at this point, as the defense has been horrific this year, and that’s putting it lightly.

Detroit is honestly pretty fortunate that the offense is so good, as they could genuinely be 0-4 if not for Jared Goff and that crew. It feels like the only way the Lions can win is by getting into a shootout, and with the talent that the Arizona Cardinals have on offense, that could again be the case in Week 5.

While the Cardinals aren’t a good team by any means, they’re definitely not a bad team and play with a slight edge that you really like to see if you’re a fan, as this is a rebuild, and the coaching staff is in year one together.

Arizona isn’t close to being the worst team in football, but they shouldn’t beat the Lions… right?

In all seriousness, this should be a close, back-and-forth game, as you really trust the offenses more than the defenses here. With how much more talent the Lions have than the Cardinals, it’s not a reach to pick Dan Campbell’s crew.

The Lions might also be at a point where each game takes a heightened level of importance given how tight the NFC is and how good the Lions have been in previous years. We’ll pick the Lions in this one, but we’re only picking them to win by one point, because they just have not proven to be able to win in any way other than a high-scoring affair where the defense fails to make enough plays.

Prediction: Lions win 34-33
