Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans, 1:00 PM ET
It is not a major shock that the Tennessee Titans are 0-4 to start the season, but you do have to wonder how the Houston Texans got to the same spot. Houston was 0-3 to begin the 2025 NFL Season, but did manage to finish 12-5 and advanced into the playoffs.
You had to have figured that Week 4 would have represented the time where the Texans actually got back on track, but the defense continues to be shockingly bad to start the season. It does feel like Week 5 is truly when Houston can at least hope to rebound this year.
Being four games under .500 in the NFL is a hole that virtually no team can truly dig out of, but Houston does have enough roster talent to go on a run and maybe get to 9-8 if all goes well. The Texans are significantly more talented than the Titans, too, which goes a long way.
Tennessee is just bad across the board - there isn't any sugarcoating that, either. They're just a bad football team. The QB has been below-average this year, and the defense, which was supposed to be in a good spot with Robert Saleh, is, well, in a bad spot.
Houston needs to play some desperate football in Week 5, and I believe they will. While this game is in Tennessee, the Titans don't have the dogs on either side of the ball to keep pace with the Texans. We could see a late-game surge from the Titans to at least make it somewhat close, but you're simply asking something of the Titans that they are incapable of doing.
Tennessee is going to fall to 0-5. Houston gets their first win of the season in our prediction.
