Baltimore Ravens @ Indianapolis Colts, 1:00 PM ET

Both Baltimore and Indianapolis could be two of the most interesting teams in football this year. The Ravens got off to a horrid 1-5 start last year, but much of that was due to mounting injuries during the beginning chunk of the season. The Ravens were able to bounce back a bit but still finished with an 8-9 record.

They also parted ways with John Harbaugh and now have Jesse Minter in as the head coach, and right now, they are a lot healthier headed into Week 1 this year than they were last year, which is ideal. If things don't fall apart, the Ravens should be able to re-establish themselves as a top team in football.

And speaking of top teams in the sport, the Colts were one of those clubs after a shockingly strong 7-1 start in the 2025 season. Quarterback Daniel Jones was playing at a near-MVP level, as the Colts were moving the ball with ease, but cracks began to show for Indy, and Jones suffered an Achilles injury.

It now does feel like the Colts are having to re-prove themselves, but being able to gain that spark from the first-half of the 2025 season just does not feel likely for 2026. Indy might be closer to the 'average' tier of teams than anything more or less, which has been the case for years now.

And the Ravens have all the roster talent in the world and could make a deep playoff run if the injuries don't spiral out of control. For Week 1, I wouldn't think something wild would happen - Baltimore takes care of business and begins the Minter era on the right foot, defeating the Colts by three points in our predictions.

Prediction: Baltimore wins 23-20
