Cleveland Browns @ Jacksonville Jaguars, 1:00 PM ET
The Cleveland Browns visit the Jacksonville Jaguars in a game that features two teams that could not be more different. The Browns are currently still dealing with the Deshaun Watson situation, as this trade has easily gone down as the worst in NFL history, as Watson being named the starter may only last a few weeks, as he's been among the worst players in the NFL at any position since being traded.
The Browns have simply not been a viable football team at any point in the Watson era, so this franchise is simply going to wait it out until they can move on from the veteran. As for the Jaguars, this team is coming off a rather encouraging 13-win season that featured an AFC South title in a tight divisional race.
While the Jags don't have a loaded roster, this team might boast one of the best coaching staffs in the NFL, as it didn't seem like that 13-win season was a fluke. I don't believe this is a game where we see any sort of Week 1 upset, as the Browns might not even have a bad QB situation - it could be flat-out horrific, perhaps the worst we have seen in quite some time.
As long as Jacksonville shows up, they'll win this game. The Jaguars are surely looking to begin a bit of a stay atop the AFC South after such a breakout season, as is now finally seems like QB Trevor Lawrence has some stability with the head coach. We all know Lawrence has all the talent, but it didn't feel like there was a sustainable regime brought in until last year.
The Browns are going to struggle all year and will drop this Week 1 contest.
