New England Patriots @ Jacksonville Jaguars, 1:00 pm ET

In a battle of the No. 2 and No. 3 AFC playoff seeds from last year, New England and Jacksonville square off in Florida in a battle of 1-1 teams. Both teams' victories came against AFC North teams thus far, as the Patriots beat Pittsburgh in Week 2, while Jacksonville beat Cleveland in Week 1.

This should be a Jaguars victory. The Patriots just have not looked good at all this year. Drake Maye doesn't seem to be comfortable dropping back, and without wide receiver AJ Brown, the passing offense could suffer as long as he's out.

The defense has looked rather solid, but without the offense showing signs of what they did in 2025, this team could be a shell of their former version that made it to the Super Bowl last year. Many were wondering if a regression was coming based on how much harder the schedule got, and we might be at that regression point now.

The Jaguars had Week 2 nearly wrapped up, but two fourth quarter touchdowns saw the game slip from their grip. The 1-1 Jaguars saw their nine-game win streak come to an end, but the Patriots feel vulnerable and should be a rather easy win for Jacksonville, believe it or not.

Jacksonville just feels and looks like a team that is extremely well-coached, and I'm not sure you can say that about the Patriots. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has also been playing MVP-level football over the past half-season dating back to last year.

Maye has looked the total opposite. Jacksonville gets the win in Week 2 and earns a key head-to-head tiebreaker over the Patriots if that needs to come into play later in the season come playoff time.

Prediction: Jaguars win 27-17
