It was the highest-scoring opening week in the Super Bowl era, and all 32 teams have given us a lot to think about as we get set for another fascinating slate of games in Week 2.
This week's schedule includes some possible future playoff matchups, some intriguing rematches between playoff teams from a season ago, and the possibility for the reigning Super Bowl champs to get upset by what many believed would be the worst team in the league.

Both the Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills played in arguably the best individual games of Week 1.
There was a bit too much of a disconnect between Jared Goff and his receivers in Week 1, even though they simultaneously had to score 31 points to beat the Saints. Goff targeted his big three weapons -- Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta -- a total of 31 times against New Orleans, and was only able to connect with them on 19 pass attempts.
The inefficiency in the passing game was part of what contributed to the Lions nearly blowing it against the Saints.
The margin for error against a team like the Buffalo Bills is non-existent compared to a younger team like the Saints.
The Bills just scored 36 points on the road against the Houston Texans' defense. Josh Allen accounted for four touchdowns, and the arsenal of playmakers at his disposal was significantly improved compared to what we've seen in recent years.
Because the oddsmakers respect Detroit's offensive firepower, the Bills are only 3.5-point favorites in this game to start the week. As good as the Lions' offense is, I'm taking the Bills by at least a touchdown at home on a short week.
