Welcome to one of the most difficult matchups of Week 2 to try and predict what's going to happen.
The New York Jets notched a win in Week 1, and it was an impressive win, but it was also against the Tennessee Titans. Still, you can't just write off a win based on the opponent, so we have a lot of interesting things to take at face value from the New York Jets in Week 1.
For instance, Geno Smith played some really solid and efficient football. Breece Hall topped 100 yards on the ground. The Jets' rookie class was fantastic in their 2026 debut. And sometimes a team that is young and hungry doesn't know any better, and why wouldn't the Jets feel confident that they could win at home against this particular Packers team?
Matt LaFleur's group is absolutely reeling dating back to last season. Ever since blowing a lead against the Broncos late last season, the Packers haven't won a game. They blew a 22-10 lead against the Vikings in impressive fashion in Week 1, and I say "impressive" because it was truly a sight to behold.
Green Bay's offensive line completely imploded against Minnesota. The Jets undoubtedly will watch tape of that game and be aggressive in blitzing Jordan Love early, at least to find out how the Packers' offensive line is going to respond.
The Packers are opening up at 4.5-point favorites on the road against the Jets, but even though we know Week 1 can be a liar, could another upset be brewing here? If the Jets take care of the football, they should be at least competitive. I'm still playing it safe on this one and taking the Packers in a bounce-back game.
Prediction: Packers win 24-20
