Indianapolis Colts @ Kansas City Chiefs, 8:20 PM ET
The Kansas City Chiefs might be back? The Chiefs blew out the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, and they're home again for another primetime game, hosting the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts got worked by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, so this could be a game where Indy struggles.
They should be able to hang with the Chiefs in terms of running the ball, as Indy's offensive line and primary running back are both better than what Kansas City has, but the Chiefs offense proved to be too much even for one of the best defenses in the league.
The Colts simply might not be able to keep the Chiefs out of the end zone enough. And with this game being at Arrowhead, arguably the toughest place to play in the NFL, this feels like a rather impossible task for the Colts, and it seems like, unless we seen an upset, that the Colts are staring down an 0-2 start, which would come just one year after starting the 2025 season 7-1.
The Chiefs take this one by 10 points.
Prediction: Chiefs win 30-20
Monday, September 21st
New York Giants @ Los Angeles Rams, 8:15 PM ET
The Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants coming into this game 0-1 and 1-0 is probably the opposite of how people thought their records would look, but that's the beauty of the NFL. The Rams lost in blowout fashion to the San Francisco 49ers, while the Giants held their own against Dallas and won.
While the Giants Week 1 victory probably still feels good for them, they have a reality check coming, as there may not be a more dangerous team in the NFL than a juggernaut squad coming off a loss. And while the Giants can eventually be a juggernaut, the Rams are actually one right now and have legitimate and attainable Super Bowl aspirations.
This will be a get-right game for the Rams, as head coach Sean McVay is a top-2 coach in the league, and the Rams roster talent will be able to overwhelm what the Giants have. Los Angeles likely didn't expect to fall into an early 0-1 hole thanks to the 49ers, but that does also tick up the urgency a bit and perhaps forces the issue, but in a good way.
The Rams play some inspired football and get into the win column.
Prediction: Rams win 28-17
