Tennessee Titans (0-3) @ Baltimore Ravens (2-1)

The Baltimore Ravens are fresh off of one of the most intense victories of Week 3, but they’ve got to make sure there’s no jet lag after they get home from beating the Cowboys in Rio De Janeiro on Sunday.
Baltimore hasn’t exactly played great this season, not as great as we’ve seen them play in the past. They have undoubtedly shown they can still be the same explosive offense, fully capable of dominance either through the air or on the ground, but there has definitely been a little bit of an “edge” missing.
The Ravens have shown a weakness on the interior offensive line, and they’ve also shown defensively – even under new head coach and noted defensive guru Jesse Minter – that they are susceptible.Â
The Titans are not exactly the Dallas Cowboys, but the Tennessee interior defensive line, led by Jeffery Simmons and John Franklin-Myers, is fully capable of destroying this game from the inside-out – literally.
Baltimore is the heaviest favorite in Week 4, and for good reason. They are favored by 11.5 points at home because, typically, this is a team that dominates at home. I’m not sure there is any reason to get frisky enough with NFL picks this week that you would take the Titans in a straight-up upset, but they have fought tough among their three losses despite some offensive ineptitude/inconstency.Â
It wouldn’t surprise me, in the slightest, to see them cover within that 11.5 points the Ravens are being given. NFL games always have odd twists and turns. The heavy favorites sometimes dominate, but sometimes the oddsmakers overlook what a “bad” team does really well compared to where a much better all-around team is weak.
Now that I’ve said all that, waxing poetic over the Titans’ interior defensive line being a potential problem for the Ravens, watch Baltimore go out and put up 40-plus. So it goes in the NFL. I’m sticking to my convictions for the sake of this pick, however. The Titans keep it under 10.
Prediction: Ravens win 24-16
