Buffalo Bills (4-1) @ Las Vegas Raiders (3-2)
Sunday, October 18, 4:25 PM ET
For the second time in the last three weeks, the Raiders have a high-stakes home game against an AFC contending team.
The last handful of weeks have been some great tests for the Raiders, who started this season 3-0 and have since hit a little bit of a skid.
The Raiders hosted the Kansas City Chiefs when they were both 3-0, and even when it seemed like the Chiefs were closing in on a relatively “easy” victory, the Raiders found a way to climb back into the game and make it interesting. They had no such luck against the Patriots in Week 5.
In fact, the Raiders got beat so badly by New England this past week that they threw Fernando Mendoza out there for some mop-up duty late. As exciting as it may have been to say the #1 overall pick on the field, hopes were higher from Raiders fans going into that game against the Patriots.
They’ll get yet another brutal test in front of the home crowd with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills coming to town.
What we saw from Josh Allen on Monday night against the Rams is exactly the formula for the Bills' success. It doesn't matter if they have DJ Moore, prime Randy Moss, or anyone else playing receiver. All that matters for the Buffalo Bills is that Josh Allen plays the role of hero and doesn't make too many mistakes to overcome.
The Bills are 6-point favorites, and it will require a handful of takeaways from that Raiders defense to keep this one that close.
Prediction: Bills win 34-23
