Tennessee Titans (0-5) @ Indianapolis Colts (2-3)
Sunday, October 18, 1:00 PM ET
Out of all the games on the schedule in Week 6, this is certainly one of them.
Colts fans who have been consistently reading my stuff this year are probably going to get sick of that schtick, so I apologize.
At any rate, it feels like the Tennessee Titans are nothing more than a get-right game or “gimme” for their opponents this season. And that’s not to say they’ve gotten blown out every single week, but that the outcome of their games is more of a foregone conclusion than most others.
There are reasons why the Titans have been a mainstay at the bottom of our weekly NFL Power Rankings so far this season…
With the way the Colts have played this season, there is absolutely no way you’d have them as 7-point favorites in any individual matchup, but the Titans have had that rough of a year. There really isn’t even anything you can say the Colts could hang their hats on this season other than Jonathan Taylor, and he’s obviously pretty good.
Taylor is coming off a down week against the Steelers in Week 5, so the Colts are going to make an effort to get him going against the Titans again. And if he is out there breaking tackles and busting off big runs, the Titans are in trouble.
Meanwhile, Tennessee is just looking for signs of life from quarterback Cam Ward. Robert Saleh is fending off questions seemingly every week about whether or not he would consider making a switch off of Ward. It’s been a rough year for the 2025 #1 overall pick, but the Titans are committed to the process…for now.
I think the Colts win this one at home rather easily.
Prediction: Colts win 27-17
