Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-4)

Sunday, October 18, 1:00 PM ET

After some abysmal offensive performances to start the 2026 season, Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers have turned things around over the last three games.

At the very least, the Steelers’ offense looks good enough to compete in the AFC North, especially if Jaylen Warren puts on the Superman cape like he did against the Indianapolis Colts.

Warren finished the Steelers’ Week 5 win over Indianapolis with 188 yards from scrimmage, leading the team in both rushing (101 yards) and receiving (87) yards. He had two of the Steelers’ touchdowns, multiple explosive plays, and having that kind of threat out of the backfield (albeit maybe a more realistic floor) is essential to an Aaron Rodgers-led offense maintaining success.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got an impressive win on Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys in a game they had no business being in, but they also got a brilliant performance both through the air and on the ground from running back Bucky Irving.

You can bet both of these teams are going to lean on those backs once again in Week 6 as – despite what the Bucs’ record may indicate – both of these teams are very much alive for their respective divisions.

As well as rookie Jalon Daniels played against Dallas, the Bucs are going to be happy to welcome Baker Mayfield back as soon as they possibly can, but not before he’s ready.

The Steelers are understandably 3-point favorites on the road in this one, but Mayfield being back would change the equation a bit. I’m actually feeling in the old bones this week a possible Buccaneers upset.

Prediction: Buccaneers win 24-22
