San Francisco 49ers @ Atlanta Falcons, 1:00 PM ET
The San Francisco likely come into this game ith a 6-0 record, as they will have played Washington on Monday Night Football and likely take care of business. The Atlanta Falcons come into this game 2-4 but have gotten some pretty neat play from Michael Penix Jr thus far.
The 49ers are firing on all cylinders, though, and feel like the best team in the sport right now. Quarterback Brock Purdy has played out of his mind this year and feels like the frontruner for the MVP right now.
It's hard to find a legitimate flaw with this team, as they're even playing well despite the mounting injuries that always seem to plague them.
As for the Falcons, Penix continuing to play well is going to do wonders for this franchise. This might not be a playoff year, but if Penix is able to stay on the field and continue stacking encouraging performances, the Falcons will gladly slot him in as the starting QB in 2027.
And while this could actually be a rather close matchup, I am not sure when the 49ers are going to be stopped. Kyle Shanahan might be well underway with the best head coaching job of his career, and while it's still early, the returns in 2026 seem to indicate this team is plenty good enough to make the Super Bowl.
With the roster talent on offense that the Falcons have, though, it's not going to be much of a surprise if the team hands with the 49ers, but I am not sure how the Niners don't pull away in the end. In a battle of two fun offense, the 49ers are going to come out victorious.
In fact, we're going to predict this one to be a blowout victory...
