Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets, 1:00 PM ET

This is certainly a football game in the NFL. The Miami Dolphins are 0-5 and coming off their Week 6 bye, as they face the 2-4 New York Jets in the 1:00 PM ET window. Let’s start with the Dolphins.

Unfortunately, the Dolphins don’t do anything well and are going to continue losing games. It’s clear that, based on what we saw this offseason, that Miami was embracing full-scale rebuild, which was the necessary move to make.

It’s definitely a tough pill to swallow when the rebuild has just begun, as it almost always guarantees a ton of losing, but the end goal can bring long-term success. The Dolphins are, arguably, the least talented team in the NFL.

And while the Jets aren’t particularly good, they are a year or two ahead of the Dolphins in terms of their own rebuild. The Jets have a trio of first-round picks in the 2027 NFL Draft and could make a major move for a QB next offseason.

They also have some pretty sweet young talent on both sides of the ball and could end up being a frisky bunch in 2027 and beyond.

While the Dolphins could realistically step into where the Jets are this year in 2027, that doesn’t impact this week’s game. Miami is going to be well-rested, but with little to no impact players, the Jets should be able to cruise to this victory and reach three wins, which is how many games they won all of 2025.

We’re picking the Jets by 10 points and the Dolphins to fall to 0-6. You almost then wonder if the Dolphins would pick up the phones and consider trading veteran players as the deadline nears...?

Prediction: Jets win 27-17
