Philadelphia Eagles (2-5) @ Washington Commanders (1-4-1)

Sunday, November 1, 8:20 PM ET

The last time we saw the Washington Commanders on the field, they put up a pretty good fight in the second half against the previously unbeaten San Francisco 49ers.

But it was too little, too late.

Jayden Daniels tried to lead his team to a memorable comeback, but once again, situational issues and injuries continue to plague this Commanders team. Daniels can only do so much on his own.

At some point, it feels like this team is going to break through a little bit. They haven't won a single start by Jayden Daniels since October 5, 2025, when they beat the Los Angeles Chargers. The fact that it's been over a year since the Commanders have won one of Daniels's starts after making it to the NFC Championship Game in his first year with the team?

That's staggering.

I'll continue to reiterate something I've already said multiple times: What goes up must come down...

At some point, that streak is going to end. At some point, the Commanders are going to get it figured out, shorthanded or not.

The Eagles played some inspired football against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, but playing with a backup QB and so many other issues right now, it doesn't feel like you can realistically put a ton of confidence in that team.

The Commanders are early 3.5-point favorites, and I wouldn't be surprised if they cover rather easily.

Prediction: Commanders win 26-17
