Chicago Bears (5-2) @ Seattle Seahawks (4-3)
Monday, November 2, 8:15 PM ET
It’s absolutely perfect that we would get this matchup as the final game of the week, under the lights of primetime, and with two of the league’s best play-callers on opposite sides of the ball going at it.
This is the ultimate chess match.
These are two of the best teams in the NFL at one underrated element of the game each week: Execution.
The Bears execute offensively as well as anyone in the league, maybe better. Ben Johnson is an absolute cheat code as an offensive coordinator, and he’s going to need to be in his bag going up against a Seattle defense led by Mike Macdonald and all of the unique weapons he has at his disposal.
When it comes to breaking down the matchups within the matchup, this is one of the best games of the entire season.
Vegas is looking at this game as a toss-up early on with the Seahawks opening as 3-point favorites. And as the week goes along, I wouldn’t be shocked if that line moved even a little bit closer to 0.
Seattle has been rough throughout this season in the one department the Bears are really good at taking advantage of: Turnovers.
I absolutely cannot wait to see what Ben Johnson has cooked up for this Seattle defense, which nobody can really seem to figure out right now. And on the other side, what does Macdonald have cooked up for a Bears’ offense that has almost been a mortal lock for 30-plus points in the games Caleb Williams has started?
I like the home team to pull through in what should end up being the best game of the week.
Prediction: Seahawks win 24-23
