Las Vegas Raiders (3-4) @ New York Jets (2-5)
Sunday, November 1, 1:00 PM ET
This is going to be a really fun matchup for anyone out there who loves the NFL Draft and watching young star prospects with golden opportunities.
Both the Raiders and Jets are teams in the relatively early stages of rebuilding, certainly very early in the case of the Raiders with a rookie head coach. Both of these teams have spent a lot of high draft selections on their current rosters, and they are getting the chance for a game with some decent stakes to show what they can do here early in the season.
It’ll be an opportunity for Geno Smith to go up against his former team, and a chance to show them what they are missing.
For all his faults, Smith has put up some huge numbers this season, and he’s gotten the wide variety of playmakers involved on that young Jets’ roster.
Over the past handful of weeks, we’ve seen huge games from the likes of Mason Taylor, Kenyon Sadiq, Omar Cooper Jr., and Braelon Allen. The Jets already have an established star in Garrett Wilson at receiver, and I’m not entirely sure how the Raiders are going to handle all of those weapons.
Defense has predictably been the primary struggle for the Raiders in 2026. They were absolutely terrible against the Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday, and they have now given up 30+ points in four consecutive games.
The Jets are just 1.5-point favorites at home. The Raiders will be hoping the Geno Smith who turned the ball over a ton while he was on their team will show up for this game, but I’m taking the Jets and their young stars to shine in this one.
Prediction: Jets win 27-23
