Atlanta Falcons (3-4) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-5)

Sunday, November 1, 1:00 PM ET

I’m a big believer in the idea that what goes up must come down in the NFL. When a team is on a long losing streak or a long winning streak, you’re always waiting for that to snap. Teams get desperate or complacent depending on the situation. Teams that “haven’t” done something all year long are bound to change that at some point.

It just so happens that, through the first 8 weeks of the season, this is going to be the Bucs’ 5th home game already. They haven’t won a single home game yet in 2026.

That doesn’t mean you just look at the individual matchups within this matchup and completely disregard everything for the sake of it, but with an 0-4 record at home so far this season (and coming off a 30-point blowout win over the Panthers)...are you thinking what I’m thinking?

Maybe you’re not. I’m thinking the Bucs are going to get their first home win of the season. The 5th time is the charm.

This Tampa Bay team is the opposite of “playing with house money”, but simultaneously, it feels like they have everything to gain and nothing more to lose. Todd Bowles’s seat can’t get any hotter.

The Falcons are coming to town fresh off of upsetting the previously undefeated San Francisco 49ers. The Atlanta offense has so many weapons it can lean on each week of the season, but the familiarity between division rivals here gives the Bucs a bit of an advantage.

Tampa Bay is a slight 2.5-point favorite at home this week, and I think they get the job done.

Prediction: Buccaneers win 26-23
