5. Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals revamping the defensive side of the ball could end up being one of the most important moves that any team makes this offseason. I have continued to say that I am now getting some 2021 vibes from this team, as the 2021 offseason brought similar defensive change.
As we know, Joe Burrow and the offense can be among the best in the NFL when he's on the field and the circumstances are normal. Now, with a (hopefully) improved defense, this roster isn't missing much. While the Bengals have managed to get in their own way from time to time, this roster is good enough to slide into a top Wild Card spot.
Cincy has also gone far in the playoffs in the Burrow era, and while that has spanned just two different seasons, 2021 and 2022, they have made the Super Bowl and have then gotten back to the AFC Championship Game.
This is a team to keep an eye out for in 2026.
4. Buffalo Bills
Joe Brady is now the head coach of the Buffalo Bills, replacing Sean McDermott. The Bills also added DJ Moore at wide receiver from the Chicago Bears this offseason, so this franchise finally did make some notable change.
It felt like the team was just trying again and again with the same set up and expecting different results, which was not smart. Buffalo could take a small step back this year with a new head coach, but they should still be good enough to win the AFC East, especially with the New England Patriots having a much tougher schedule.
Buffalo is also more of a known commodity, but with how much this team has won in the Josh Allen era, we all expect them to get into the playoffs.
