Divisional Round
(6) Chicago Bears @ (1) Los Angeles Rams
For the second year in a row, if our predictions come true, the Rams and Bears would be meeting in the Divisional Round, but this would see the Bears traveling to face the Rams in their house. Simply put, I believe the Rams are the team to beat this year.
I understand that the NFC is a wild beast sometimes, and unexpected things happen, but the Rams legitimately do not have a notable roster flaw and have also been able to sustain success for much of the Sean McVay era.
This is the best roster McVay has had, and it's to the point where we all might be shocked if the Rams don't win it all. And with this game being at home in our predictions, the Rams take care of business and advance into the NFC Championship Game.
Prediction: Rams win
(5) Seattle Seahawks @ (2) Detroit Lions
The Seahawks travel to face the Lions in this one, and I'm riding with the Lions here. Back in 2023, the Lions did make the NFC Championship Game, so they've proven that they can get past this round. And back in 2024, the Lions were the top NFC seed, but thanks to mounting defensive injuries, they went one-and-done in the playoffs.
If they simply had more of an average amount of injuries, 2024 could have been an even better year than 2023. Detroit knows how to win and has finished with a winning record in each of the last four seasons.
They're a juggernaut, especially on offense, and will be able to take care of business at home and advance to the title game for the second time since the 2023 campaign, but they'd also have a majorly tough opponent to advance to the Super Bowl...
