Denver Broncos - rookie rushing touchdowns
With all the talent this Denver Broncos team has, it feels strange to look at the rookie class to break a record, but, alas, it feels like the most likely one to fall. Rookie running back Jonah Coleman, earlier this offseason, was said to have a role as a short-yardage back for Denver. If that holds true, that could also mean red zone and goal-line snaps, making 15 rushing touchdowns unlikely, but plausible to break for the franchise’s rookie record.
Kansas City Chiefs - rookie receiving yards by a running back
The Kansas City Chiefs brought in Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker in free agency, but that is not the only move that the squad made at the running back position. They drafted Emmett Johnson, who has drawn comparisons to LeSean McCoy by his former coach, Andy Reid. If Johnson has some shades of McCoy in him, he could set a Chiefs franchise record for receiving yards, 455, if he gets started early in that role.
Las Vegas Raiders - single-season receiving touchdowns by a running back
This one feels like a fair prediction, considering what we saw from Ashton Jeanty in his rookie season. The running back had five receiving touchdowns in his first year as a pro, tying the all-time mark for the statistic. Keeping in mind the Raiders did not add much in the form of receivers this offseason, Jeanty could outright set the mark in his sophomore season.
Los Angeles Chargers - single-season receptions
Is Ladd McConkey likely to set the receptions record? No, but there is a world, considering the state of the receiving room in Los Angeles, in which he does, which would be really fun. As a rookie, McConkey set the rookie receptions mark with 82; with another year under his belt, and with the expectation of being the top wide receiver for the Chargers, he could elevate to break the single-season mark of 108 receptions this year.
