We are really flying the flag for advocacy on Isaiah Likely with this prediction, but considering the amount of roster turnover for the New York Giants this offseason, it feels like this is the safest call for the franchise. Likely has a career-high of 42 receptions, which is a far cry from the mark of 74 that he would need to beat for this record. That said, Likely has always been a secondary option at tight end in Baltimore; heading into his first season as the primary option at the position could be a fruitful one.
Philadelphia Eagles - career rushing touchdowns
Does a tush push count as a rushing touchdown? It is a question as old as the Jalen Hurts era officially beginning in Philadelphia in 2021. Whether or not one wants to count it as a true rushing touchdown or not, the record books count it as one, and the veteran quarterback is seven rushing touchdowns away from setting the career record for rushing touchdowns as a Philadelphia Eagle due, in large part, to the success of that play.
Washington Commanders - single-season passing touchdowns
Jayden Daniels had one of the best and most successful rookie campaigns in NFL history, even setting the rookie passing touchdown record for the Washington franchise. In that year, he threw for 25 touchdowns. If he sets the single-season record, he would have to up that number by seven.
While it is a tall task to improve upon the statistic by seven, as numbers are never a guarantee in the NFL, the Commanders added a few weapons for the quarterback to pass the ball to this season. With an improved receiver unit compared to his rookie season, Daniels could break the single-season record of 31 passing touchdowns.
