Atlanta Falcons - career receiving yards for a running back

In all honesty, all of the running back receiving records in Atlanta have a high likelihood of being broken by Bijan Robinson in the 2026 campaign. Entering his fourth season as a professional, Robinson sits three receiving touchdowns and 60 receptions away from setting Atlanta Falcons franchise records. However, the most likely one is the running back reaching 238 receiving yards this year, a number that he has blown past in each year of his career up to this point.

Carolina Panthers - single-season receiving yards

Tetairoa McMillan set the Carolina Panthers record for rookie receiving yards last season. The logical next step on the to-do list for the second-year wide receiver could be the single-season record. In order to accomplish that feat, he would have to have an increased connection with quarterback Bryce Young, who is seeking a contract extension from the organization.

What better way to go out and earn it than to be part of a record-setting duo for the franchise? If McMillan breaks the 1,563-yard mark this season, he will have broken the record, and Carolina may have to break the bank for its quarterback.

New Orleans Saints - rookie receiving yards

Is it a cheat code to have this many options at a record? It is probably fair to consider three options as such, but when there are that many candidates to do the job, you pull the trigger on the New Orleans Saints’ rookie receiving yards record. In fairness, the most likely candidate, Jordyn Tyson, is expected to miss a couple of months of his first season, making it a two-horse race between Barion Brown and Bryce Lance.

Now that Tyson is going to be out, one of his fellow rookies has a great chance to impress and take the second wide receiver spot as their own heading into the future. Regardless of which pass catcher may end up with that position, it is going to be a tall task for either player to break the rookie receiving yards record. The mark for them to beat is 1,137 receiving yards this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - career passing touchdowns

Fresh off of being denied a contract that was up to his standard this offseason, quarterback Baker Mayfield has a chip on his shoulder. In what could be his final season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Mayfield could pull off one more defiant act for the franchise and set the record for career passing touchdowns as a Buccaneer. Mayfield will need 27 such touchdowns this season to accomplish that feat, and if he does, he will put the ball in the Buccaneers' court one final time for a new contract before a potential change of scenery with free agency looming.
