Los Angeles Rams
As of now, it's pretty tough to not say that the Los Angeles Rams are the best team in football. Their offseason was aggressive, outstanding, and deliberate. Adding Myles Garrett almost feels unfair, but we also can't rule out the two cornerback additions in Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson from being extremely impactful.
The Rams also had the league's top scoring offense last year, and the MVP in Matthew Stafford. Not only that, but Sean McVay is a top-2 head coach in the sport. The 2026 Rams could soon feel like that 2021 team, a star-studded group that won it all.
And with the moves that General Manager Les Snead made this offseason, it's clear that only making the playoffs would be a massive failure. LA could win 14+ games in 2026.
Seattle Seahawks
Losing Kenneth Walker III, Boye Mafe, Coby Bryant, and Riq Woolen in free agency is going to hurt, but with how strong this roster still is, coupled with how stellar of a coach Mike Macdonald has become, it's quite hard to see how Seattle misses the playoffs.
Sure, the 'Super Bowl hangover' is a thing that plagues teams sometimes, but the Seahawks just feel different. They were the most balanced team in football last year and are still returning many of the same key players.
Where Seattle can continue to win is the defensive depth, as the defensive line is about eight deep, and Macdonald himself is someone who constantly put his players in the best spot to be productive last year.
From top to bottom, Seattle is a well-oiled machine and a lock for the playoffs this year.
Dallas Cowboys
Some may roll their eyes, but the Dallas Cowboys already have one side of the ball checked off with the offense, as that unit ranked inside the top-10 in points scored last year. Dallas also revamped the defense and brought in a Vic Fangio disciple to run the show in Christian Parker.
With how much more talent the Cowboys acquired on defense, coupled with the Parker hire and the offense already being a huge threat, the Cowboys may soon emerge as the most complete team in the NFC East, and the rest of those teams all also have concerns that could make the playoffs difficult.
The Philadelphia Eagles traded AJ Brown this offseason and may have to rely on Jalen Hurts more, but he's never been a high-end passer. The New York Giants are clearly still in a bit of a rebuild, and the Washington Commanders won just five games last year after winning 12 the year prior, and may also have an injury-prone QB in Jayden Daniels.
Dallas feels like the most secure team in the division right now and will make the playoffs this year.
