AFC East
Buffalo Bills: 11-6
The Buffalo Bills made two major moves this offseason; they replaced former head coach Sean McDermott with Joe Brady, and also swung a major trade for wide receiver DJ Moore. The Bills now have a go-to target at the position and a different head coach, which could yield better results.
It could also yield the same or worse results, but based on how the seasons were ending for Buffalo in the playoffs, something had to change. While this team is quite good and will again make the playoffs, they don't sport a gaudy win total here in our latest predictions.
New England Patriots: 10-7
The New England Patriots do have a much tougher schedule this year than they did in 2025, which is worth nothing. The Patriots managed to win 14 games in the 2025 season, and winning that many games does leave a razor-thin margin for error. The increase in opponent difficulty is going to catch up to the Patriots a bit, as they go 10-7 and finish second in the AFC East in our predictions.
Miami Dolphins: 4-13
Arguably the worst team in the NFL right now, the Miami Dolphins don't shed that label in our predictions and win just four games. This team could end up rebuilding the right way, but they're also a franchise clearly embracing a full-scale rebuild, so the odds that they win many games this year are low.
New York Jets: 4-13
While this may seem like too low of a win prediction for the New York Jets, it's hard to be optimistic when the head coach looked to be in way over his head in 2025, and the QB is Geno Smith, who has thrown 32 interceptions the past two seasons.
With bottom-5 people at the two most important positions on an NFL sideline, the Jets are going to coast to another losing season.
