AFC West
Denver Broncos: 13-4
The Denver Broncos have the best roster in the AFC. The depth is also excellent, and I am not sure the team winning 14 games was an outlier or unlikely to happen in 2026 as some have suggested. Denver comes in at 13-4 in our updated predictions, as this team did win a ton of one-score games, and with how many late-game heroics the team needed, there is reason to believe that they won't be able to win quite as many.
But this team has improved wins in each year of the Sean Payton era, and the roster has gotten better each year as well. The dominance continues in 2026.
Kansas City Chiefs: 10-7
The Kansas City Chiefs are not quite there yet - the roster still needs some work, but being able to add a productive-enough running back in Kenneth Walker III into the backfield should provide enough of a boost in the run game for Kansas City to get back on track a bit.
Los Angeles Chargers: 9-8
The Los Angeles Chargers offensive line is again a major concern, and with the playmakers not necessarily being an overwhelmingly talented bunch, the Chargers just don't appear to scare you in any way right now, which could lead to a rather mediocre record.
This team has won 11 games in each year of the Jim Harbaugh era, but the roster didn't improve much at all this offseason, and they also lost former defensive coordinator Jesse Minter to the Ravens head coaching job.
Las Vegas Raiders: 5-12
The Las Vegas Raiders are in a rebuild, so I would not expect many wins this year. Winning five would be a solid start, especially if rookie QB Fernando Mendoza seems some action and is able to lead the team to victory a couple of times.
