The 2026 NFL Trade Deadline is on November 10th at 4:00 pm ET. At that point, no more trades will be allowed, so with there being 10 days before the deadline, the rumors and actual moves are only going to increase.
There are some obvious sellers out there, but there are also some obvious buyers that have to compete with one another for a certain player. Furthermore, assuming that the 2027 NFL Draft class isn't quite as good as some had hoped, there could be more in-season moves that we're used to seeing.
The next 10 days could provide us with a ton of fireworks with trades. Let's dive into four teams that can benefit the most from the trade deadline, whether in a buying or selling mode.
Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos two of four teams that can benefit the most from the deadline
Minnesota Vikings
It appears like the Minnesota Vikings have some level of interest in star running back Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts, and that'd be a wise move for this franchise to make. Minnesota has the 24th-ranked scoring offense in the NFL alongside the top-ranked scoring defense. Veteran running back Aaron Jones leads the way with 436 yards, but he's barely averaging over 4.0 yards per carry and has -62 yards over expected, according to Next Gen Stats. Only four running backs have a work mark in that category.
Minnesota's run game isn't totally inept, but it's not a good unit overall, and with the Super Bowl-caliber defense already established, the logical addition here would be someone like Taylor, but a consolation prize like Tony Pollard of the Tennessee Titans would also make sense.
The Vikings do have talent across all other offensive positions to make some noise deep in the playoffs, but without a consistent run game, they'll be likely to go one-and-done. Adding Taylor or Pollard would essentially be the missing piece.
