To think that if Philip Rivers did not come back last season, Matthew Stafford would be in possession of the sixth most passing touchdowns of all-time already is kind of strange. However, that is the world we live in, and with three passing touchdowns for the Los Angeles Rams in Australia, Stafford will pass Rivers and take over the sixth spot. That said, Stafford is highly unlikely to move further up on the all-time leaderboard this season as there are over 80 passing touchdowns separating the sixth spot and Brett Favre at five.
5. Derrick Henry moving up the top 10 leaderboard in career rushing touchdowns
Speaking of moving up on all-time touchdown leaderboards, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry is a pair of rushing touchdowns away from moving up to number three on the career rushing touchdowns leaderboard. If he does that in Week 1, he will pass the legendary Marcus Allen. While it is not easy to predict someone to score twice on the ground, Henry has accomplished that feat 32 times, including nine different occasions during his time with the Ravens.
Additionally, if Henry has an all-time season for someone over the age of 30, he could move into second by the end of the 2026 season, but we will cross that bridge if we approach it this year.
4. San Francisco 49ers career forced fumbles record
Matthew Stafford is not the only player chasing history in Melbourne, Australia, when the Los Angeles Rams meet up with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday.
