When is it not mock draft season? As the bulk of Week 1 of the 2026 NFL Season begins, the mock drafts shall as well. It is quite early, but there does appear to be a strong-ish quarterback class for 2027.

And while it feels like we say "the QB class will be better next year," this does appear to be a true statement. While the 2024 NFL Draft's QB class is something that we might not see again for quite some time, 2027 could bring some solid franchise passers.

But obviously, there are a ton of other positions that need love, too, so we'll sort it all out in our latest NFL mock draft. For our draft, we'll use Pro Football Network's mock draft simulator.

Updated 2027 NFL Mock Draft as Week 1 continues in bulk

1. Arizona Cardinals - Arch Manning, QB, Texas

We'll start out with something that could end up being very common throughout the NFL and college football season - Arch Manning being mocked first overall to the Arizona Cardinals. There just isn't a path for the Cardinals to win more than a small handful of games this year, as the NFC West is loaded, and the Cardinals are already a bottom-3 team in the sport.

Despite the team having taken Carson Beck in the 2026 NFL Draft, being able to snag Manning would be a slam-dunk decision by the front office.

2. Miami Dolphins - Dante Moore, QB, Oregon

There should be a run on quarterbacks in the 2027 NFL Draft. Dante Moore opted to return to Oregon for one more season, and as we have seen with recent QBs stepping into the NFL, experience does seem to help, so the Miami Dolphins being able to stand pat with the No. 2 pick and take Moore would feel like a best-case scenario.
