23. Detroit Lions - Yhonzae Pierre, EDGE, Alabama
The Detroit Lions have all the talent in the world but have oddly not been able to remain healthy on defense. Those injuries really began during the 2024 season and ended up remaining throughout the 2025 campaign.
Even with Pro Bowl and All-Pro caliber players on defense, the Lions have still left some meat on the bone here, and one area that is never a bad idea to address is along the defensive line. Trenches are where games in the NFL are won and lost. Yhonzae Pierre is the pick. In 2025 for Alabama, Pierre finished with 14.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks, and that kind of production against top competition could bode well for his chances in the NFL.
Aidan Hutchinson is unquestionably the guy for the Lions in terms of getting to the QB, but having another capable, 'Robin' to Hutchinson's 'Batman' is a great idea, and GM Brad Holmes isn't someone who won't attack a roster need.
With how well-built the offense is, defense could already be a top priority in 2027.
24. Los Angeles Chargers - Omarion Miller, WR, Arizona State
How about two key offensive players named Omarion on the Los Angeles Chargers? The Chargers take Omarion Miller from Arizona State at pick 24 in our latest mock. Miller began his college career at Colorado and is now at ASU this year.
In 2025, Miller finished with a career-high 808 yards and eight touchdowns, and he averaged 18 yards per reception, so he's a natural big-play threat. And for the Chargers, while this team does have some capable pass-catchers, I am not sure they have a true 'alpha' on this size of the ball.
That's mainly my reasoning for snagging Miller here. Sure, Ladd McConkey is great at what he does, and Quentin Johnston is no slouch, but neither player really overwhelms you, so the idea here is that Miller could eventually step into that go-to role for Justin Herbert and perhaps Mike McDaniel, if he sticks around for a few seasons.
