25. New England Patriots - Austin Siereveld, OG, Ohio State
Mike Onwenu is a free agent following the 2026 season, so the New England Patriots aren't locked into one of their starting guards beyond this season. They did sign Alijah Vera-Tucker this offseason, which was stellar move, as he has tackle ability if needed.
With that said, Onwenu may need to have a strong season to score another contract from the Patriots, and while I am personally a big fan of Onwenu, he simply might be someone the Pats move on from after this year.
This could be especially true if Austin Sievereld is available to them near the bottom of the first round. The Patriots' offensive line did seem to be a bit overwhelmed at times, and while this unit has seen a ton of change in recent years, it still doesn't feel like it's in a good spot for the long-term.
Adding another young lineman to the mix is the best possible way for this unit to eventually find its groove for Drake Maye's career, as he's only in his third year and could, in theory, have a decade-plus as the team's starter.
26. San Francisco 49ers - Kade Pieper, OC, Iowa
Speaking of the offensive line, one area that the San Francisco 49ers have been good at, but not necessarily great, is the offensive line. Their best player is Trent Williams, and he's old and might not play for much longer.
Planning for the future at any position is crucial, but it's even more important along the offensive line, so I went with Kade Pieper from Iowa. Jake Brendel is a free agent following the 2026 season and is also 34 years old, so getting younger would be a wise move, and Pieper playing his football at Iowa should also give the 49ers comfort in making this pick.
