3. New York Jets - CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame

The New York Jets would absolutely take a QB if they were picking this high in next year's draft. The 2027 offseason is probably where the Jets plan on making the biggest splash, as this team, as of now, has a trio of first-round picks. It is rather uncommon to see teams with two first-round picks in a single draft, but three is an entirely new ballgame.

Jets' General Manager Darren Mougey was hire away by the Denver Broncos, and he was a part of the Broncos being able to rebuild and hit on Bo Nix. He surely hopes to do something similar with the Jets, as having a high pick like this would all but guarantee it.

CJ Carr honestly checks a lot of the boxes a team would want in a franchise QB, so this would be a wise pick. With Geno Smith under center for 2026, the odds that the Jets pick in the top-5 feels likely, and this is especially true if Aaron Glenn isn't the right long-term head coach. He looked in way over his head last year, and if that doesn't change for 2026, the Jets could finally pick someone who has a legitimate franchise QB chance.

4. Cleveland Browns - Darian Mensah, QB, Miami (FL)

Yet another big swing on a QB, the Cleveland Browns take Darian Mensah at pick four in our mock draft. These teams simply won't get out of the cellar until they hit on a QB, and there really is no use in targeting other positions with this many good QB prospects available.

With the young talent that the Browns already have, a rookie QB would be coming into a shockingly stable situation, perhaps making the Browns a threat earlier than we might think.
