7. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame
The Tennessee Titans could be a fun team this year. The Titans brought in a new coaching staff, highlighted by the defensive-minded Robert Saleh. Brian Daboll is also in as the offensive coordinator, as it's clear that the 2026 season is simply about taking this franchise one step in the right direction.
The Titans are still in the middle of a rebuild, so this team isn't going to make the playoffs or anything, but falling into that 'frisky' tier of teams is likely. Cam Ward definitely needs to take a step forward as well, but that does feel likely given how much sharper he was to end 2025.
While it may seem odd that the Titans are taking the top cornerback in the country in this mock draft, it also makes sense that the front office would continue stacking the defense with talent, as a good or great defense does give the offense better field position and can give the unit more possessions by creating turnovers.
The Titans may also feel comfortable dipping into the free agency market next offseason to find some immediate upgrades on offense as well.
8. Carolina Panthers - Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina
Another top EDGE in the country is Dylan Stewart. He heads to the Carolina Panthers at pick eight. If the Panthers are picking this high, something didn't go right in 2026, and it could end up being QB Bryce Young not taking another step forward.
However, the Panthers also may not have a clear first-round QB to target in this specific scenario, so it would put the front office in a tough spot. Much like the Falcons a couple of picks ago, the Panthers don't have a clear QB to take and instead bolster the trenches on defense.
