13. Minnesota Vikings - Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia
I do believe the secondary could be a major point of emphasis for the Minnesota Vikings in the 2027 NFL Draft. As of now, the main thing with the Vikings has been the QB situation, as not only is Kyler Murray starting, but it's yet another new starter, and 2024 first-round pick JJ McCarthy is going to open up the season as the third-string QB behind Murray and Carson Wentz.
The Vikings picking this high would likely mean that Murray just wasn't nearly good enough, and it would likely force the Vikings to again start fresh at the position. There could also be some major coaching changes that take place with this high a first-round pick.
Anyway, no matter what happens in 2026, the secondary will still be at the forefront of the team's offseason priorities, so I went with Ellis Robinson IV from Georgia here. Robinson had four interceptions and seven defended passes in 14 games, so he's got a nose for the football and could be a day one starter on defense.
14. Pittsburgh Steelers - Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
The Pittsburgh Steelers might be one of the more obvious teams in the league that could use a QB next year, but if the Steelers had their way, Aaron Rodgers retiring following 2026 could make way for one of Will Howard or Drew Allar to take a hold of that startig job big-time.
Allar might end up being the very early favorite to start in 2027. No matter who starts, though, it'll likely be a younger player, and one of the easiest ways to help out those young players is to stack as much talent along the offensive line as possible.
The Steelers take Trevor Goosby from Texas and continue their youth movement at one of the more important position groups in sports.
