13. New York Jets (from Cowboys via Packers): KJ Bolden, SAF, Georgia

With their second pick in this 2027 NFL mock draft, the New York Jets give head coach Aaron Glenn another big-time weapon for his secondary.

The Jets needed to upgrade the safety position anyway, but a versatile weapon like KJ Bolden is going to be coveted by every defensive coordinator in the league.

We saw Glenn turn Brian Branch into an absolute star early in his NFL career with the Detroit Lions, and he might have a similar vision for someone like KJ Bolden at the next level.

14. New York Jets (from Colts): Ashton Hampton, CB, Clemson

With back-to-back picks, the New York Jets go with back-to-back defensive backs. As it seems to happen with the pick they acquired from the Colts for Sauce Gardner, the Jets take a cornerback.

I promise we’re not doing that on purpose.

This feels like a really good range for the cornerback prospects in the upcoming class, especially after Leonard Moore is off the board in the top 5 overall.

Ashton Hampton has fantastic size at 6-foot-2, and he uses it to his advantage. He is physical at the outside cornerback position and does a great job of getting his hands on receivers near the line of scrimmage and affecting routes in man coverage.

15. Pittsburgh Steelers: Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss

If there is one player at the college football level who has been a bit of a revelation as an NFL prospect at the quarterback position this year, it has to be Ole Miss star Trinidad Chambliss. Chambliss has proven his NFL chops when it comes to making every throw at every level of the field, throwing with anticipation and a great understanding of what defenses are throwing at him.

It’s not that he’s playing perfect football every week, but you can see the progression in his game.

The Steelers will want an experienced prospect who can hit the ground running, and that’s exactly what Chambliss looks like he’ll be able to do.

16. Cleveland Browns: Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina

This is the lowest we’ve had South Carolina star pass rusher Dylan Stewart in any 2027 NFL mock draft scenario, but there’s an explanation for it.

Stewart is currently serving both an SEC-imposed and team-imposed suspension after punching an Alabama player, then absolutely losing it on the sideline, defying his coaches and giving poor effort.

There’s no doubt that Stewart is a talented prospect – he’s in the top 5 on most boards – but he’s going to have a lot of explaining to do in the pre-draft process.

The Browns are still a reloading team and will need to make sure he’s cleared as a culture fit, but this would be an outrageous steal in the middle of the 1st round after saying goodbye to Myles Garrett in the offseason.
