13. New York Jets (from Colts): CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame
The Jets had to take a risk earlier in this mock draft, forsaking the likes of Darian Mensah and LaNorris Sellers to take star receiver Jeremiah Smith.
And even though receiver is not the Jets' foremost need right now, you can't pass on a prospect that good. And certainly, a quarterback like CJ Carr coming in as the potneital franchise QB of the future would love to throw to the likes of Smith, along with Garrett Wilson, Kenyon Sadiq, Omar Cooper Jr., and Mason Taylor (among others).
Carr is one of the QB prospects who needs a big breakout year to get into this type of conversation, but the talent is there.
14. Minnesota Vikings: KJ Bolden, SAF, Georgia
The Minnesota Vikings just brought back veteran safety Harrison Smith before the start of the 2026 season, and you have to figure the safety position will be a bigger area of focus next offseason.
You can't fix everything in one offseason, but this Minnesota defense took on a bit more significant of a renovation this offseason than anyone realized. The secondary wasn't exactly forsaken, but it needs more work.
KJ Bolden is one of the best defensive back prospects in ths upcoming class and would be a great chess piece for the Brian Flores defense. He can play deep, he can play in the box, and he can play in the slot.
15. Jacksonville Jaguars: Sammy Brown, LB, Clemson
The Jacksonville Jaguars made a move I'm almost certain they're going to regret this offseason, allowing veteran linebacker Devin Lloyd to simply walk out the front door.
Lloyd is now with the Carolina Panthers, and it's "next man up" for the Jaguars at linebacker.
Sammy Brown might feel like a reach here with the 15th overall pick, but the former top prospect would be a perfect fit for the middle of the Jaguars' defense. He got off to a great start already this season with 10 tackles in Clemson's opener, and is always around the ball.
16. New York Jets (from Packers): Trevor Lauck, OT, Iowa
The Jets already have a pair of former first-round bookend offensive tackles in Olu Fashanu and Armand Membou, but the building of the offensive line is not yet done for GM Darren Mougey.
After taking Jeremiah Smith and CJ Carr earlier in this mock draft, the Jets make it 3-for-3 on the offensive side of the ball and get another top prospect for the offensive line in Trevor Lauck, who is undoubtedly going to come into the NFL as one of the most well-coached linemen in his class.
That's the Kirk Ferentz promise. Lauck will be able to kick inside right away and start at left guard next to Fashanu.
