21. New England Patriots: Will Heldt, EDGE, Clemson
At this point, there may not be anything truly "spectacular" about Will Heldt's game, but he's so well-rounded. This is the type of prospect who will be beloved by coaches in the pre-draft process, because he does everything so well.
And that kind of prospect can fit well with a team like the New England Patriots.
The Patriots were dead last in the NFL in sack differential (sacks allowed/sacks on defense), and obviously still have plenty of work to do on the defensive front, even after using a 2nd-round pick on Gabe Jacas in 2026.
22. Denver Broncos: Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU
Once again, the offensive tackles in this mock draft are simply falling too far, but this is a strange draft class. There are so many big-time prospects that it's hard to know how they're all going to be sorted by NFL teams.
The Denver Broncos are a team that needs to prioritize the trenches. They have had mostly the same offensive line for four seasons now, but starting tackles Garett Bolles and Mike McGlinchey are getting older. Former CU Buffs product Jordan Seaton is already settling in nicely at LSU, and would look good in orange and blue at the next level blocking for Bo Nix.
23. San Francisco 49ers: Greg Johnson, OL, Minnesota
The San Francisco 49ers need upgrades on the offensive line after the 2026 season.
Trent Williams and Dominick Puni are both slated for free agency in 2028, and Williams might not get to that point. Jake Brendel is already aging out and is a free agent in 2027. The 49ers are starting rookie Carver Willis at the left guard spot this season.
They definitely need a fresh infusion of talent, and Greg Johnson might be the best interior lineman in this class.
24. Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Scott, DL, Miami
One year after taking Miami pass rusher Akheem Mesidor in the 1st round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Chargers take another player from the Hurricanes defensive front.
While Mesidor was an older prospect who had proven himself, Scott is a younger (just 20 years old) prospect who is raw in some areas, but extremely talented. He's still got to fully grow into his frame, but as an interior pass rusher, he knows how to knife through the line of scrimmage and make plays in the backfield.
The Chargers could be taking on a bit of a mini makeover on the defensive front next offseason.
