17. Seattle Seahawks: Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia

The Seattle Seahawks have one of the top two defenses in the NFL (the Vikings deserve to be in the conversation, don’t come after me), but they could get even better in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Seattle’s one concern right now – roster-wise, that is – is at the cornerback position. They could probably just bring back Riq Woolen next year in free agency if they want, or they could invest in another absolute stud to play on the outside like Ellis Robinson IV.

He’s physical, he’s aggressive, and he’s got the type of mentality to excel in Mike Macdonald’s defense right away.

18. New England Patriots: KJ Bolden, SAF, Georgia

The 2027 NFL Draft class might be one of the better safety classes we’ve seen in some time, especially at the top.

KJ Bolden has missed some time at Georgia this year due to injury, but he was back against Florida on Halloween and flying around like he always does. This is another one of those players the NFL is coveting these days, similar to a Brian Branch, who can play all over the defensive formation whether he’s asked to play deep, in the box, in the slot, and in any type of coverage.

The Patriots went after reinforcements at safety this past offseason in the form of Kevin Byard, so they need to get younger there as well.

19. Carolina Panthers: Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State

It might not be a fair time to assess the position, but the Carolina Panthers have been missing both Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson lately due to injuries. Defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero was fired after the team’s latest debacle on Thursday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers.

This is a team that is in desperate need of defensive reinforcements, no matter what position group you want to insert here.

Mississippi State’s Kelley Jones is a rare 6-foot-4 cornerback prospect who has elite speed and the ability to impact the ball at the catch point.

20. Dallas Cowboys (from Packers): Will Echoles, DL, Ole Miss

The Dallas Cowboys simply need to take the best defensive player on their board here, regardless of what position he plays.

The Dallas defense has not been able to figure it out, no matter how many defensive scheme changes they make, no matter how many picks they invest, and no matter how many trades Jerry Jones makes.

Will Echoles might not go out there and sell a bunch of jerseys right away, but he could help the Dallas defense a ton as one of the best run defenders and anchors on the defensive front in the country.
