29. Buffalo Bills: Kade Pieper, OL, Iowa

The Buffalo Bills are one of those rosters that you look at and you just wonder where to really go in a mock draft scenario. What position groups should this team prioritize in the draft?

The Bills are one of those rosters that just feels so “set” pretty much everywhere, yet what we’re seeing on the field this year is a clear need for defensive help. Maybe they will use this pick to acquire a proven player on that side of the ball, but if not, I’m not sure there is a better prospect on the board than Iowa’s Kade Pieper.

This is one of the best interior offensive line prospects in the country and a hand-in-glove fit for the culture of the Bills.

30. San Francisco 49ers: Trevor Lauck, OT, Iowa

We’ve been talking about it for years now, but the San Francisco 49ers will have to start doing some forward thinking on the offensive line at some point.

Trent Williams can’t play forever…can he?

Trevor Lauck is one of the offensive line prospects whose stock is rising significantly this season. The Iowa Hawkeyes always crank out NFL-ready offensive linemen, but as we’re seeing in this mock draft (with back-to-back Hawkeyes OL), this is one of their best groups in recent years.

These Iowa guys are always perfect fits for the Shanahan-style of offense with their athletic traits and ability to play bully ball in the run game.

31. Kansas City Chiefs: KJ Duff, WR, Rutgers

We saw just how big of a difference it made for the Chiefs to add Kenneth Walker at the running back position this offseason. It might have a similar impact for Patrick Mahomes to add another vertical threat at the wide receiver position.

KJ Duff has been a cheat code out there for Rutgers in 2026, averaging 110 yards per game with 9 touchdowns through the first 7 contests. With 132 receptions in his collegiate career, Duff also averages over 17 yards per reception.

Again, adding a vertical threat like that to the Chiefs’ offense right now, especially someone with Duff’s size and strength at the catch point, could be a game-changer.

32. Minnesota Vikings: Austin Simmons, QB, Missouri

We cap off this 2027 NFL mock draft with the Minnesota Vikings taking Austin Simmons, the flame-throwing southpaw out of Missouri.

Although all of the rumors right now seem to indicate that Simmons is more likely to be returning to school, he might get more favorable reviews from the NFL than he was initially expecting.

He’s shown fantastic progression in his game this season, seeing the field exceptionally well and driving the ball with the type of velocity that absolutely jumps off the screen.

After trading JJ McCarthy away, the Vikings opened up this job for the future and will definitely be in the 1st-round market next year.
